Some cheese lovers don't need any extra reasons to chow down on some cheddar. But, for anyone who is on the fence about feta, there are more and more reasons to pass the Provolone.
“Cheese is becoming more popular over time, partly because a lot more people are travelling and becoming exposed to different things in other countries,” says Fern Janzen, owner of Paddy's International Cheese Market. “Fall and winter brings people looking for the cheese they ate in Europe. People are also looking at the health benefits of cheese, if eaten in moderation. Studies have shown that, for women especially, if you change your diet to lose weight, you will lose more weight if some cheese is kept in the diet.”
