A chandelier hangs from the tall ceiling of the change room at sculptbarre. The crystals sparkle off the white walls, creating a calm and classy atmosphere. Owner Tracey Kalbfleisch, a mother of five children, calls the location her happy place; it’s both calming and exciting for her, a place where she can pursue her passion.
Tracey has always been very interested in fitness, but barre fitness has only been in her repertoire since 2013, when the first sculptbarre opened in Sherwood Park – owned by Nikki Smith – and Tracey began training as an instructor. Then, in November of 2015, Nikki was looking to expand with her fifth location on the south side of Edmonton, and Tracey was excited to run the fitness studio.
There are now four locations in the Edmonton area with two in the city, one in St. Albert and one in Sherwood Park; and there’s even a sculptbarre in Winnipeg. While Nikki runs the studios in St. Albert and Sherwood Park, Tracey runs the southside Windermere location.
