Judith Kisser hadn’t been planning to get into the face-painting world in 2009 when she started Giggles Faces N Glitter. The idea grew out of a regular shopping trip. She was picking up supplies for her home-based makeup and esthetician business when some glitter tattoos caught her eye.
“I thought to myself, ‘My kids would really enjoy those.’ ” She bought them and the tattoos soon caught the eyes of parents at a local farmer's market. They began to chat, one thing led to another, and parents started asking Judith to do parties. “It’s been a real blessing,” she says.
From there, other performers in the local family entertainment industry began asking Judith to book their gigs in exchange for a small commission. “Now I arrange shows for around 30 performers who are all professionals at their calling: clowns, stilt walkers, magicians, face painters – you name it,” she explains.
