Being a stay at home mom and running a full-time floral design business is a lot to manage, but Wendy Larson does it well. “It’s a constant balancing act. I think it’s good for the kids to see me working hard,” she says.
Tickled Floral started as a gift basket company, but once Wendy was able to install a proper cooler in her home she switched to her original passion: flowers. Wendy's love of flowers blossomed at a young age. “I grew up in a flower shop,” she recalls. “My mom and aunt started a flower shop in my aunt’s basement when I was four years old, so I grew up learning to tie my shoes and make boutonnieres.”
Flowers have a special quality that other gifts just don’t possess. “When you give someone a gift of flowers the purpose is to make them smile and make them happy,” she says. “You can’t do anything with them – their sole purpose is for them to give you happiness and joy.”
