A few months before our wedding in Sept '16 my wife & I decided we wanted to choreograph our 1st dance. After watching a few Youtube videos and attempting to replicate them, we decided professional help was needed. We found All Star Dance Studio & went for it. Even though we only had a few weeks, and were both beginners, we pulled it off. Marie was help patient, knowledgeable and accommodating with her schedule. Great dance experience!

My husband and I started taking dance lessons before our wedding in 2011 with 2 other dance studios. One was significantly more expensive than Marie's and one did not give us what we wanted. We took a break but wanted to get back into dancing, it's quality time spent together. We found All Star and preferred Marie's teaching because it was personal, interactive and reasonably priced. We were able to learn several types of ballroom and latin dances during our weeks there. I enjoyed being able to practice a few types of dance in each lesson. Marie even dances with us, helping us feel comfortable in our steps. You do not need any experience or a partner to join, the small group lessons allow for optimal learning and fun. We are hoping to return once our baby is born and old enough to leave with a babysitter. Thanks Marie!

Ted and I decided we wanted to learn, prepare and perform a special waltz for our wedding. We chose a song from movie we saw together, signed up for some classes with another dance facility. However, after a month or more, we realized we weren't getting what we wanted; so, we researched and found Marie, at All Star Dance Studio. After our first class with Marie, we had learned more than we did at the other facility. Marie didn't just teach us dance steps, she choreographed a special waltz to our music. Marie fine-tuned all the details necessary for Ted and I to feel comfortable and natural on the dance floor, allowing us to surprise our family and friends at our wedding. At our wedding, Ted and I took the dance floor with confidence, ready to make Marie proud. We wowed our family and friends, who were shocked, surprised and fascinated to see our special first dance. After trying an 'intro package' at a big dance studio and then being pressured into buying a more expensive package, we decided to take our business elsewhere - we found the All Star Dance Studio website and contacted Marie - she invited us for a trial group lesson. We knew right away that Marie was the teacher we were looking for. She took the time to understand what we wanted to achieve for our wedding dance and worked with our tight deadline to make our dreams a reality. She is very knowledgeable and is able to make helpful corrections to your steps without embarrassing or intimidating you. We felt very comfortable and relaxed at All Star Dance Studio. The other dancers were friendly and welcoming too! Marie really knows her stuff. We were absolute beginners and managed to impress all our of guests with a choreographed first dance - we got tons of compliments and surprised everyone! Nobody would have guessed that we only practiced our dance for 3 weeks! Marie really worked hard with us to make us look good on our special day, and given our tight schedule, Marie was very flexible and was able to accommodate us with private lessons which she fit into her busy schedule. If you are thinking about taking dance lessons give Marie a call - we highly recommend her!!! It was not easy to find a dance teacher in the Hamilton area and she's great! Actually, we have been having such a good time that we continue to take group lessons at All Star Dance Studio!

what a great time i am having!! I hesitated going for dance lessons but am so happy i decided to go ahead. Marie has been terrific. I have had the best time and learned so much in such a short time. Always hesitated when asked to dance, only because my partner isnt a dancer and so i forgot anything i ever knew. Now I dont care!! Marie has given me the comfort level to make it fun. Cant wait to get going. shes patient but so much fun! Really look forward to my sessions, and since i am alone, she goes out of her way to match me up with a partner. Great people and well worthit all. Highly recommend this to anyone who needs 'a diversion' in their life with some fun and a chance to meet some great people. thanks Marie!

When my wife and I first came to All Star Dance in 2007 we took private lessons in order to prepare for our first upcoming cruise. I have always been very self-conscious about the way I looked on the dance floor I felt that people were watching me and that made me feel very uncomfortable. We didn't have too much time before the cruise. Marie worked very hard with us to teach us a few steps on a number of dances so we could enjoy ourselves on the ship. She is an amazing instructor, very detail oriented, she definitely knows her stuff and more importantly she's good at teaching it to the average person who knows very little about formal dance. Marie is so positive and super patient making her a pleasure to be around. She has semi-private groups making it easy for her to give more attention to her students. Her prices are very reasonably compared to larger studios and I would definitely recommend All Stars Dance Studio for dance lessons. At present, 2013 we have done a performance in Swing & Tango, assisted teaching with the beginners and we continue to take lessons moving up into the silver and gold levels and have now learned most of the 10 Dances in Ballroom and Latin. Our social life is better and our confidence level has improved dramatically, and I feel very comfortable on the dance floor.

After 20-plus years of not dancing and trying big name dance schools, going to Marie to renew our love for this form of exercise was a great choice. Her attention to detail, as in positions of feet, hands and head is refreshing and keeps you coming back for more. By keeping the classes small she has the opportunity to give personal attention to whoever needs it, whenever they need it. Throw in a great sense of humour and every hour spent becomes a pleasure and something to look forward to. After two years with Marie, we’ve once again become confident dancers, who don’t shy away from trying the more difficult dance steps during public dances. We might not be good enough for “Dancing with the Stars” but Marie is a star in our books.
