On the weekend I dropped by because I learned that they had Lugtread Lagered Ale on tap. The hostess said that they were serving Sunday brunch and that sitting at the bar was awkward. However, soon, a waiter brought in a bar stool and soon I was sipping my fave beer on tap. It was a sunny day so the view was great, bartender friendly and as a bonus there was a keyboard player singing a whole host of great songs. I will definitely go back for beer...only place in town that serves Lugtread Ale. (I did not eat, but I had to click a food rating to save my review !) Lire plus

I only had a cupcake as I had already eaten when I stumbled upon this place during the Sound of Music Festival in the summer but it was a great first impression. I had a Dulche de Leche Cupcake that was really tasty- not overly sweet. It was not very light and fluffy, but maybe this is the norm for dulce de leche cupcakes? Anyway, it was a very impressive cupcake being gluten free and vegan! I think I remember it was ever sugar-free? The place itself is very cute (so colourful!) and the staff was very friendly. On recommednation of a friend as well as restaurantica reviews we decided to try Speekezzies for a mid week meal. We were promplty (and pleasantly) seated is this family establishment. Alot of selection on the menu but what sparked our interest was the lamb chop special. We asked to substitue the mashed potatoes for homemade ricotta gnocchi - lovely and flavorful- upgrade charges applied. Service was fine - nothing omitted. wine portions were a little small for value but everything else made up for that. Decor could use an update to perhaps draw a differnt clientele as return customers. However, it was adequate for us and we will definately return. Lire plus

What I found outstanding was his ability to deliver a plate to the table as a sincere communication between two mutually respectful persons. No banging of plates! The order bar is at the front door. Lots of warm colours with smiling faces that are always patient and help full. For those that can't make up their minds your not hurried or rushed to make purchases. There are exceptions of course. The atmosphere is roomy, with enough space between tables for privacy. If your order is not ready at purchase point then the staff will bring it to you with out the feeling that you need to tip again if you did. Great seating with leather couches. Chairs and tables are far enough apart to have reasonably private conversation. The patio is overlooking the Bay. Hope that you like birds. Parking is walking distance or one minute from entrance. This is one of my favourite restaurants. I first was taken here by my father after he had been so impressed eating here at a business lunch. We haven't had a bad meal here ever. My favourite meal is always the eggplant parmesan. It has to be prepared ahead of time, so make to to mention when you make your reservation, if you want it. Food quality is always amazing. The owner is attentive, enthusiastic, and passionate about the food and service. The owner may be Greek, but coming from an Italian girl who grow up on my Italian Nana's fresh made food, he knows his Italian food. Lire plus

This place is one of my favourite places in all of Hamilton to go - I usually only go on special occasions as I revere the food and pastas that much and would never want to spoil the pleasure in which I have each outing I go. I boldly say that of my seven years in Hamilton that this is the best italian restaurant in the city. My favourite dish is the Chicken Parmigiana - the meal always feels like it was cooked right then and there and the quality is unreal, it just is perfectly cooked just a notch past al dente pasta with a delicious red sauce and a great serving of chicken cutlets. The servers are always top notch and so respectful and always take good care of things. To work there I would definately have some pride in my work, just outstanding place in all. Lire plus

The Cafe is small and cozy inside but has an outdoor patio to view the Rivers during warm seasons. The interior is decorated in a Parisian style and the atmosphere is very European. The Staff is friendly and helpful but very busy with a large number of customers looking for very few tables indoors. This is January and the patio is closed for dining. The Door to the scenic view is open however but a young boy with undisciplined parents kept hanging and swinging on the door rails causing the tempature in the back portion to plumit to an uncomportable temprature for some people. Thats the Parents Fault not the Cafe'. The food was well prepaired and excellent and left little room for the tempting deserts. I will visit Paris again and treat my family to this experiance once more. Lire plus

Williams is essentially an expanded coffee house, that offers food which is edible, but not great. But, that is to be expected, as no one would go here expecting fine dining. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, service is quick and the place seems to be clean. Being right across from McMaster, it is often full of students, many who come to study, and staff doesn't seem to mind. This place has since moved to 86 Dalhousie Street and has been renamed 'Pantry Cafe'. I had seen this place multiple times and decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! The place is really big, with ample room for moving and sitting. When you first walk in, there are really comfortable couches, with newspapers available, it is a great lounging area! The tables are cute and are far away from each other to allow for some privacy when dining. The menu selection is great! There are tons of items to choose from, and everything is made fresh.They have everything from omelettes to sandwiches to coffee and ice cream. I chose the chicken bruschetta panini with ceasar salad. The cost isn't too bad, only about $10, but it was well-worth it! I sat down and had to wait, maybe about 8 minutes, and the dish came. The server apologized as she had forgotten that they didn't have any croutons for my salad, so she gave me extra bacon, what a great touch! The bacon was good too, it wasn't that processed stuff, it was actually real bacon. The sandwich was AMAZING! It had cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto sauce, and mayonnaise; the chicken was nice and moist, it was hot (temperature wise) and crunchy. The service is amazing as well, all of the people who work there are friendly and kind. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you all try this place, you won't be disappointed! Lire plus
