I have never written a review for any restaurant before but thought I had to after reading all of the mixed reviews. I went for a romantic dinner with my girlfriend who is pretty easy going and doesn't like to cause a fuss. We didn't say anything at the restaurant but this food was terrible! By far the worst meal we have ever eaten in our lives. There is no way any of that food is homemade! My veal was just disguisting, I had one bite and thought I was going to gag! My girlfriend tried and agreed it was gross....it did not taste like veal at all. Her penne sausage was ok...she ate the pasta and left the sausage which also tasted gross. Not to mention the service was unbelieveable slow! There is NO way a place like this can stay in buiness...the entire experience was horrible. Definatley NOT recommened!
Maybe it's an oakville thing, expecting caviar at tuna prices, but this place is fantastic. They have solid, flavourful food in a fun atmosphere with great service. They're also family friendly. If you want a dependable restaurant with unpretentious food, this place is the ticket. If snooty food is your thing, go somewhere else.
The service at this restaurant was absolutely, unbelievably slow. I have never spent 3 hours at a restaurant or waited an hour for our food to finally be served. Not only was our table's food served an hour after ordering, they forgot my order!!! Once my order was finally brought out it was completely different from my friend's dish which was suppose to be the same order. My baked sausage penne looked more like it was shoved into a microwave than baked. Although they did try to fix the fact that my order was forgotten by making the dish on the house. This would of been a decent attempt at a compensation if they didn't forget to actually make the dish on the house once our bill came out. So upon all the waiting we had to wait yet AGAIN to have our bill corrected. My boyfriend who is the most patient person you'll ever meet was even getting fed up with all the waiting we had to do at this restaurant. We had decided to host a get together with our friends at this restaurant before heading over to our place, which is right around the corner, and ended up feeling horrible for bringing our guests to this restaurant. It is unfortunate that this place had such horrible service and mediocre food because it would of been lovely to have a restaurant so close to our home for us to visit regularly. This was our second visit and it will definitely be our last. Both visits being unsatisfactory. Please take my advice, DO NOT waste your time at this restaurant, it is not worth the wait (there are no reservations for parties less than 12).
Thought I would give this a try, despite mixed reviews. The restaurant itself looks good and was well put together which is very inviting. Service was adequate at the best of times.....the Nachos were not. Just didn't make sense why an Italian restaurant was serving Nachos anyhow....more my fault than theirs. The salmon was dry and overcooked...as was the beef, which again I should have opted out on when it was explained to me that I couldn't have it medium rare due to the cooking process....all in all, not a good experience. Sorry, maybe I'll give it a shot again in a year or so.
The food was great. The atmosphere was great. My kids ate everything on their plates. Can't believe the bad reviews as this restaurant has a line up to be seated almost every night of the week. The owners are greek and KNOW their food. Everything was wonderful and I hope the bad reviews won't keep people from giving this great restaurant a shot. You won't be dissappointed
